"There is a place of happiness that we all turn to... There is a place of love that we come to... There is a place of comfort that we all follow... There is a place of Eden that we all desire... This place that we all adore our are escape from the real world... In other words... Our Home..."
According to Dorthy.... "There is no place like home..." But as for the rest of us, our definition of "Home" may have many different meanings to us individually. Some love it, some hate it..... Maybe its because of the memories or experiences, the different feelings, or maybe the appearance their home gives is what attracts or disappoints them. In a 3D world, it is very important to be aware of the certain emotions and feelings that a living space can give you.
Hello Everyone! My Name is Jenna Wermes and this is my blog about the wonderful world of Interior Design. I am currently a student athlete here at S.F.S.U. playing on the softball team and majoring in Interior Design. I have always have had a great passion for interior spaces. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been interested in different themes, colors, furnishings, ideas, organization of a room, and the overall appearance of a space. Since I am a very visual learner, I knew immediately in high school what I wanted to emphasis on in college..... = Interior Design.
Over the last few years in my college career I
have began a new love for it. I first fell in love with the fact there are so
many different fields of interior design. (ex. Corporate, Residential,
Commercial, Hospitality design...) The idea that you can create any kind of
space to provoke a certain feeling or an emotion, is what gets me. I
became very passionate about this idea mostly this last summer at my Internship
that I took in Malibu....
I worked for this company in Malibu called Environments Plus, here I was a paid Designer Intern for a corporate design company. I designed office spaces for all kinds of different companies…. Such as Facebook, BMW Cars, Mazda Cars, Easton Sports, Universal Music Group, and more. Lets just say that my summer was AMAZING! I got to do a lot of field work which was one of the most amazing Experiences.

Since
I have always loved the idea of homes, it was the best thing for me to try
something new. As I worked over the summer I was beginning to really understand
the true aspects of I.D. That no matter what environment you are in you can
create something beautiful whether it is an office, a room, a cubical space, or
a hotel, you can turn anything into a lovely piece of artwork. As I try
to decide exactly what field I want to go into after I graduate... I find it
not very difficult at all. I love the fact that there are so many different
fields... I personally want to experience it all. You never really truly know a
field until you actually work in it. I want to show the world that I.D.
everyday makes a difference on them everywhere they go. I want to provide
the world with ideas, tips on their own houses, the importance of display, architecture,
what I.D. can do for us, my own personal projects and ideas.. and much more! I
hope you all are just as excited to read my blog as I am to write it!
better understanding of the whole things after the semester!
